100 Strangers: Bourbon St., New Orleans, LA

E. Conomy

"I've been doing this for 32 years. But now I just come out here for a little bit. I use to be out here 24/7...all day and all night. But now I come out and then I gotta to go home. See, they got me on oxygen now and I can't pull that tank around with me.   I just got an electric chair so I can get home faster. Can you believe that damn thing went dead on me while I was a block away from the house? I ended up having to push it to where I live.   By the way, my name is Ken... Ken E. Conomy. But you can call me E. Conomy. People called me that all my life. I use to be shy about it but now since everyone keep talking about the economy, hell, I tell'em I am the Economy! (Laughs)- Ken E.
